To winterize an 800 cc Yamaha Waverunner, start by flushing the engine with fresh water to remove salt and debris. Then, change the oil and oil filter, and add fuel stabilizer to a full tank of gas to prevent condensation and fuel degradation. Remove the battery, clean it, and store it in a cool, dry place. Finally, cover the Waverunner with a breathable cover to protect it from dust and moisture during the winter months.
Yes, you can use Castrol 10W-30 oil in a Yamaha Waverunner VX110 Sport, but it's important to verify that it meets the specific requirements outlined in the owner's manual. Yamaha typically recommends using a marine-grade oil designed for watercraft to ensure optimal performance and engine protection. Always check for any manufacturer recommendations or specifications before using alternative oils.
For a 2005 Yamaha Waverunner, the recommended oil is Yamalube 2-Stroke Oil, specifically formulated for watercraft. It's essential to use a quality 2-stroke oil that meets NMMA TC-W3 standards to ensure optimal performance and engine protection. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations and maintenance guidelines for your model.

where is the oil filter on a 1989 yamaha motto 4
It is a 2 stroke. There shouldn't be any oil to change. Just the lubricating oil in the fuel mixture.
Found this link via google and it answers your question. I have just purchased a 1990 waverunner LX and was looking for the same info. A PWC mechanic did tell me 32:1 ratio. http://www.dansmc.com/2stroke_oil.htm I own a Yamaha 1989 Wave runner, and the fuel to Oil ratio is 50:1. Hope this helps, i guess there is a bit of a difference between the 1990 adn 1989.
Change the oil.
