The filter may bolt on, and look like it fits, but the filtering element inside is much fine than the one made for your EVO engine. Your engine will probably not be able to flow enough oil through the filter to keep it from backing up oil in to the lower end and making a mess, plus cost you power.

You can't. you can change an LM into LF. The only possibility is to wait an in form card with a different position, sometime it happen for example Bale 88 is a CAM, the regualr is a LM.
For something that only has around 65 hp stock a 6 to 8 hp increase will be very noticeable.
