firstly, make sure you have a drip pan that can go underneath both the engine drain bolt and the engine oil tank reservoir bolt. make sure that the quad is on a level surface, start the engine and let it warm up till it responds readily to the throttle, and take off the drain bolts and the fill boltswhich are the bolts you take off to add oil to the engine or oil tank. let the engine sit and drain INTO the drain pan until there is less than a trickle coming out, you can never wait too long as long as it isn't like a week(a couple hours should suffice). With every oil change i recomment you change the oil filter which is done by removing the three bolt on the right side of the quad after it has been drained properly(there still may be some leakage from the oil filter casing when you remove it. rplace the oil filter and make sure to put new oil on the two seals of the oil filter to pormote a good seal and to prevent binding. then replace the drain plugs and put 1.3L of oil into the engine fill hole. replace all caps and start the engine and give it 2-4 quick light revs then shut off the engine, pour the rest of the oil into the reservoir tank while continually checking the oil level so as to not overfill the tank.
