To change the oil on a Suzuki Intruder VS700, first ensure the bike is on a level surface and warmed up slightly to thin the oil. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to completely drain into a container. Replace the drain plug, then remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench, lubricate the rubber gasket of the new filter with a little oil, and install it. Finally, refill the engine with the appropriate type and amount of new oil through the oil filler cap, checking the oil level with the dipstick.
according to my manual you need 2.5 quarts (u.s.) without a filter change and 3.0 quarts (u.s.) with a filter change....the fram oil filter part is ph6018...

The Intruder uses 5.3 US Quarts for an over haul, 4.5 US Quarts with Filter Change, and 3.9 US Quarts for an oil drain with out changing the filter. That is the factory spec.
I have a 1986 Suzuki 700 Intruder and a Fram PH6018 oil fliter does not fit it ... This filter has a 24mm fine thread mount and mine is closer to 18mm fine thread
The Suzuki Intruder 800 typically requires about 3.6 quarts (or approximately 3.4 liters) of oil when performing an oil change, including the oil filter replacement. It's important to check the owner's manual for the specific model year for precise specifications and recommendations. Always ensure to use the correct type of oil as specified by the manufacturer.
I miss my old Intruder 1400 ... Great bike! The "transmission fluid" on a Suzuki Intruder is the normal engine oil, just as it is on most manual transmission vehicles. It uses the same oil from the crankcase reservoir, so every time you change your oil, you are also changing the transmission fluid. Just a quick money saving tip on changing your oil on this bike: you don't need to buy the expensive motorcycle oil filter. There is a standard automobile oil filter that will fit the threading and gasket of the Intruder. Since the automotive filter has a larger volume of filtration, it will actually work better than the more expensive OEM filter on the Suzuki.
2.5 quarts of 10W40 without a filter change, 3 quarts with filter change, according to my 2003 Suzuki VS800 factory manual.
The oil capacity for a 2000 Suzuki 1400 Intruder is approximately 3.5 quarts (or about 3.3 liters) when including the oil filter change. If you're just changing the oil without replacing the filter, the capacity is around 3.2 quarts (or about 3 liters). Always refer to the owner's manual for the most accurate specifications and recommendations for your motorcycle.
