always have a mis-shifting gear, especialy 1st to 2nd gear, if your shogun is 4 years old and above then i think you have to consult your trusted mechanic, but shogun pro have a heavy duty engine, perhaps is not about the timing, i think you should check also the valve clearance, maybe it may concern u more, more than the the timing chain
