If its called a grass handler and has a number system on right rear fender and foward and reverse in center in front of the seat, the chances are you need a new drive belt. If your not mechanically inclined you have a nightmare. If your good at repairs it will take you about 2 hours and about 35 bucks for a new belt. You can match the belt number or go to the manufacturer MTD on line with make and model numbers for parts. MIne is a 12 hp. vertical shaft, ugly and you can't kill it.
