Jumping a dirt bike is very simple, and is really easy. the key is speed, and form. first you need a jump, i would recomend starting on table tops.(a dirt to dirt jump that's filled in in the middle so if you come up short youll be able to land and ride away.) after you get your jump, practice building up speed, but don't push youself too hard because youll just crash. just give it time and youll get enough speed to jump. another important part in jumping is your form. you wanna be standing up with your sole on the peg not your heel this will act as a bonus pivot/ suspension. you also want your legs sort of bent, so your doing a small squat, this is another form of suspension to make your landing that much smoother and less painful. also don't pull up on your bars to try to go higher, because youll slowly tip back, and the more air you get the farther back youll land, or crash. another thing i wanna point out is if you have a four stroke when you start to get higher youll begin to nose dive (trust me) so right before the jump shift your weight back and youll be okay. for those with 2strokes don't worry they don't nosedive like the fours.
