Using the provided tools in your tool kit remove the seat. There is one 10mm bolt at the very rear of the seat and two Allen hexed bolts, one on either side below the seat. Once the seat is removed you will see a plastic plate or cover with a large wiring harness plugged into it. Remove this cover which is held down by three Phillips head screws. Next disconnect the battery leads at the terminals, first the black or negative one then the red or positive one. Finally grab a hold of the battery and lift straight out.
