Sometimes I have found a couple Virago's where the Seat ISN'T held down by bolts at all but a latch kinda like a latch to a cars hood. Remove the Left side cover. In the Middle of the seat, where the rider and passenger point is; there is two metal pieces protruding downward. Feel for the one in the back. Push it forward.
