To remove the battery from a Yamaha DT 125, first, ensure the motorcycle is turned off and parked on a stable surface. Remove the seat or side cover, depending on the model, to access the battery compartment. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal first, followed by the positive (+) terminal to prevent any electrical shorts. Finally, remove any securing brackets and lift the battery out of the compartment.

best spark pluguse a ngk.cu they are the best spark plug for that year.and they also workk very well.so i hope this helps you out.I have a 1975 Yamaha DT 175 that I have owned since 1976 when I bought it new. I have also owned a 1975 Yamaha DT 125, Dt 80 and MX 175. Being that I've owned all these bikes and that I still own a 1975 Yamaha DT 175 that I bought brand new, I know what spark plug it takes. It takes a NGK B8ES. A Champion N3C can also be used.
To set the gap on a DT 125 spark plug, ensure the engine is cool, remove the old plug, use a gap tool to adjust the gap to manufacturer specifications (usually around 0.6-0.7mm), and then install the new spark plug. Be sure to consult the owner's manual for the specific gap setting recommended for your DT 125 model.
I would go with the KTM, but if you do go with the DT, here is a website that helps derestrict the bike for better performance: http://www.dtr125.net/
