This is a relatively simple procedure.
Step 1, remove the pull start from the housing.
Step 2, remove the valve cover from the top of the cylinder head.
Step 3, on flywheel where pull start was you will find a T,,,Align the mark beside of the T with the mark above the flywheel on the housing.
Step 4, Make sure the marks (NOT the bolts) on the front of the cam align evenly with the cylinder head, as for the cam sprocket there is a hole beside one of the bolts and when cam timing is right it will be one tooth to the left of exact top.
Caution: it is possible to have this engine 180 off and everything look ok so turn it a few revolutions by hand before trying to start.
It has an automatic chain tensioner..

Well, friend, when it comes to swapping parts between different models, it's important to check if they are compatible. I recommend looking at the specifications and doing some research to see if the Suzuki 185 engine will fit in the Suzuki lt160 ATV. Remember, with a little patience and creativity, you can make things work beautifully.

To adjust the timing chain on a Polaris ATV, first ensure the engine is cool and safely secure the ATV. Remove the necessary covers to access the timing chain, then check the tension and alignment according to the service manual specifications. If adjustment is needed, use the tensioner to achieve the correct tension, ensuring the timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft align properly. Finally, reassemble the covers and perform a thorough check before starting the engine.
take the timing chain cover off and with a wire hanger pull it from the bottom to the top sprocket so it doesn't fall.
To change the timing chain on a 2004 Honda Rincon 650 ATV, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the necessary components such as the plastic covers, exhaust, and any interfering parts to access the timing chain. Align the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft, then remove the old chain and replace it with a new one, ensuring proper tension and alignment. Reassemble all parts in reverse order, ensuring everything is tightened to the manufacturer's specifications.
A Suzuki ATV is a popular model. ATV's are often sold online although one must be careful when purchasing online. Also, you can check local dealerships for ATV's.

To set the cam timing on a Kawasaki KFX400 ATV, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke. Remove the timing chain cover and check the alignment of the camshaft timing marks with the marks on the engine case. If they are misaligned, adjust the timing by repositioning the camshaft using the tensioner and ensure the chain is properly tensioned. Finally, reassemble the cover and verify the timing again before starting the engine.
