Short answer: No If you care why: A GS750 motor will not fit into a GS550 frame with out major frame modification. I have a '77 GS550 and a '78 GS750 (there is no major difference in models during these years), I measured my 750 and compared it to the GS550's frame. You MIGHT get the 750 in height wise, but the motor is too long to fit with out extending the frame. To do this you would also have to change the mounting position of the fuel tank rearwards to meet with the seat again, the wire harnesses also may have to be torn apart and lengthened. In my opinion it would be easier to seek a rolling GS750 chassis, mine has dual disc brakes in the front and one in the back. I believe the '77 GS750 had one disc in the front and one in the back, whereas the GS550 uses a drum.
