Once you slack the axle, there should be adjusters to tighten up, just make sure the wheel is even, and torque the axle nut back to spec's.

To remove the spark plugs on a 2006 Honda VT750 Shadow, you'll need a 5/8-inch (16mm) spark plug socket. It's recommended to use a socket with a rubber insert or a magnetic tip to help retain the spark plug during removal and installation. Make sure to also have a ratchet and an extension for better access to the spark plugs.
You have to losen the bolts under the back axle between the wheels and the left side of the shaft drive. Next you put the part in place and titen up the bolt.
If you buy new spark plugs for this bike then they come with the correct gap from the manufacturer. There are slight differences between model. For the ACE 750 and the VT750 use 0.03-0.04 in. with some people using 0.035. For the 1100 Shadow use .031 - .035 in.
