that would depend on the engine's age, place of manufacture, and if it is modified (it has a ported head, V-stack, tuned pipe, Hi-performance carburetor, big-bore, ect.) or not.

If it was a chinese made engine, you are looking at about 8000-9000 rpm's stock.

However if it was a Zenoah G43-L, you are looking at 10,000-12,000 rpm's stock.

The modifications that are available for these engines can increase the engine power, but it also varies on what the modification is, where it can be placed, and will it affect the engine by helping it or causing damage. Anything can make any 43cc engine have a certain output of RPM's, but keep in mind that there are other things to look at when you determine an engine's power output. Suggestively, you should see a mechanic with a dynometer to see your engine's output if its on a scooter, chainsaw, weed eater, ect.
