The Yamaha YFZ450R is typically rated at around 39 to 42 horsepower, depending on the model year and specific tuning. This performance comes from its 449cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine, which is designed for high-performance racing and recreational use. The YFZ450R is well-regarded for its power-to-weight ratio, making it a popular choice among ATV enthusiasts.

That is something you will need to research on your own. The horsepower ratings are Honda 450R 42 hp and the YFZ 450 39 hp. But you are as aware as I am that hp ratings aren't the whole story, especially in the dirt. yamaha450-i don't care what people say a yfz450 is faster than a trx450...acceleration and top speed...a yfz is lighter (approx 100pounds) but a trx is said to last longer...honda is know for quality...but my yfz has been fine except for the water seal breaking...so as long as you service it properly I would go yfz
