it will make it run a tiny bit more lean, but theres a chance you diddent get the baffle out from the front of the slip on, its way in there, so it shouldent be to bad. kind of pointless to take the baffle out though, you wont gain anything.
i disagree. u might not gain anything you really want like HP or torque but you will gain the anger of your neighbors haha. then whenever they are really mad at you, you do something funny like p!ss on their welcome mat or sh!t in their mailbox.
A bad fuel injector will cause a quad 4 2.3L engine to be dead on 1 and 4 cylinders. It is best to have a mechanic take a look at the quad for further information.
Motorcycle exhaust systems are complicated designs and made to allow maximum performance from the motor. Straight pipes or "drag" pipes are made for just that, drag racing. While it probably is not bad to take out the baffle it will hurt the performance. If it is not a Harley-Davidson and one is trying to get that sound it won't work. The design of Harley V-Twin and the degree of engine rotation at which the spark plugs ignite are the source of the sound.
Need to know what quad drivers are...
External heat shield or internal baffle broken
Bad fuel pump, loose fuel pump, loose baffle or foreign matter in the tank.
quad drive is a traction control system it limets the slip of tires on all 4 tires when in bad weather IT IS NOT 4 wheel drive. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ANSWER XXXXXXXXXX The Quad Driver is what fires the fiel injectors. It is normally located in the computor.
The baffle that redirects air from one compartment to another is either frozen in that position, or the control for it has a loose or missing connection. In some cars, the baffle is electrically operated, so in that case it could be a bad switch or electric motor.
Baffle, as to astonish and confuse someone. Befall as in to receive something, like bad luck can befall you. Befoul means to make something filthy and gross.
If a quad driver has gone bad it is necessary to replace the ECM. After replacing the ECM, drive the car on a bumpy road and note whether the check engine light comes on. If it does, fix the problem or you end up with a repeat QDM failure. == == == == There is no such thing as a quad driver module. There are quad DRIVERS in the ecm.
It usually means you have coolant in your oil. Cracked block or bad gasket?
The "quad driver" is built into the EMC/PCM (computer). Its NOT replaceable - the only way would be to replace the PCM. They are pretty hearty though - and I doubt you have a bad QDM. I would say the EGR solenoid would be a better choice of things that are bad. Eric
could be bad plug, wire, bad O2 sensor or plugged cat converter.
