235mph faces of the farts
I have a 07 KTM 525 XCW and the manual call for 6mm on plug gap.
Yes, a 2009 KTM 400 xcw uses 97 Octane or higher.
For off road go with the XC-W. It has a 6 speed wide ratio gearbox versus a 5 speed for the SX. Bottom line, the XC-W is a great off road race bike.
I have a KTM 525 XCW and have to pull the tank (have to pull the seat to pull the tank) to get to the plug. You need a special thin wall plug tool to get down through the head to the spark plug. Good thing they don't foul plugs like a 2 stroke will.
vitually any ktm xcw go to your local dealer (any brand) and see if the title says for off road only if not pull all the lights on it and plate it
KTM 300 series ,they are known to be a three stroke .(even know there is no such thing) Because of how low you can lug the bike and the power valve is adjustable so you can tune it to how you ride. The KTM exc/xc/xcw IS the best 2 stroke available. The Husaberg TE 300 is also the best because it is made by KTM (has the exact same motor)
XCW Wrestling Naughty or Nice - 2006 TV was released on: USA: 10 January 2006
I have a Keihin-FCRMX 41 on my KTM (2007 525 XCW) and to adjust the idle you have 2 controls. The first being the adjusting wheel (black plastic knob on the side of the carb) and the other is the mixture control screw at the front of the float bowl on the bottom of the carb. 1) Warm up the engine 2)Turn the adjusting wheel to set normal idle speed at 1400-1500 rpm 3) Turn the mixture control screw slowly clockwise until idling speed starts to decrease. Memorize this position, and turn it counterclockwise until the idling speed decreases again. Now adjust the point of highest idle speed between these 2 points. 4) Now use the adjusting wheel to set the desired idle speed.
