it could be a blown head or bottom end gasket- i had the same thing happen on a snowmobile i replaced the gaskets and it cured the problem
carb issues
Most likely, you have a blocked fuel line or fuel filter. To solve that problem, detach the the fuel line from the carb, take the fuel filter out of the line and see if fuel comes to the carb end of the fuel line. If not, just put on a new fuel line and fuel filter. Another problem that may cause this is debris in the carb; take the fuel and air intake lines off and spray carb cleaner into the carbuerator. Make sure to have an escape for the cleaner to flush out the debris.
Improper jetting, improper carb. adjustments, improper ignition timing, improper valve clearance, and a small air leak could also cause this problem.
your gas float is sticking in the carb-
water in gas or out of time change the spark plug and check the carb bowl for water if there is then drain the tank and clean the carb Additional comment: Often when you have a motorcycle or ATV that is backfiring you will find that your bike is having a problem with bad spark timing. This will also cause your Jerking... Take your bike to a profession and have them look at the carburetor adjustment and the timing.
You need to rebuild that carb, there should never be that much fuel coming out of the jets.
Drain the carb into a clear glass container and the gas and water will separate the water will look like balls of water.
Cool head - v-forcereeds - k&n air filter -bigger carb - race gas !
because you don't know what you are doing
Suzuki made a good reliable ATV. If it starts and then stops, there is most likely an issue with gas flow. I believe that has a plastic gas tank, so no concerns about rust in the empty gas tank (tractors have that issue). Your best bet is to clean the tank and carb real well with carb cleaner. Be sure to make sure the float is working, all orfices are clean and the choke moves. Stick with it, it will work again.
clean the carb,it must have some trash in it and check the spark plug it may need changing
You float is stuck in the up position. Inside the bowl in the carb.
