There may be several causes, but apart from a fault in the ignition system a vacuum leak could be one of them. These leaks often start out small but then become worse due to the factors of heat and pressure in engine. A leak in the fuel system's vacuum will result in the wrong air to fuel mixture that enters the engine with the result that there is a hesitation in the engine's response to increased fuel or in worse cases a total stalling of the engine. Clean out the carburetors and replace eventual bad rubber connectors from the air filter to the carburetors. Parts inside the carburetor and gaskets may also have gone bad.

How is the initial velocity zero but the acceleration is not?

Going back to definitions, Velocity is change of distance with time; and acceleration is change in velocity with time. Initially, the velocity is zero, as is the acceleration, BUT the Force of Gravity attracts the falling mass, and causes velocity to appear. But the continued application of the Force of Gravity causes the velocity to increase. And as we know, increase in velocity is acceleration. [space for QED]

How fast can a stock Honda CRF450R go?

A stock Honda crf450r will hit about 90-95 mph.But it all depends on the weight of the rider and what your tooth ratio is on your sprocket's? If you have a small sprocket on the front and a big sprocket on the back you are going to get more top end speed than acceleration .if it is the opposite way around you are going to get more acceleration but less top end speed.

What is the acceleration of a car going a constant speed of 100?

If the car is going at a constant speed of 100 km/h, then its acceleration is zero. Acceleration measures the rate of change of velocity, and since the car's speed is not increasing or decreasing, there is no acceleration.

Is there any reason not to buy a 1982 Honda Shadow?

They dont exist. The Honda "Shadow" line didn't start until 2003. If someone is trying to sell an 82' Shadow they either don't know the year of the bike or are pawning off a magna or something on those lines.....either way..if they are not giving correct details about a motorcycle they are selling..its best to go elsewhere for a bike. Hope that helps. On the other hand...there is no reason not to buy a 1983 Honda Shadow as long as the bike's in good condition and not salvaged. You can get a great bike by going back to the 80's and buying cheap. Most of the parts that you would need to replace (If any) wouldn't be hard to get from an after market provider or even off of most newer shadow's since Honda like's to keep their bikes simple and interchangeable. Good Luck :)
