On a Marauder VZ800 (1998), remove the black cap (triangle shap) on the right side at the front. There you can fill radiator fluid.
2.5 qts with out a filter change and 3 qts with on my 2000
The gap for all valves is .003 to .005 inches (.08 to .13 mm). ( from 97-2002 Suzuki Marauder VZ800 service manual).
About 2.2 quarts with a filter change and a little less than 2 quarts without changing the filter.
On the 2001 Suzuki VZ800 Marauder, the float settings for the front and rear carburetors are typically set at 13.5 mm. This measurement is taken from the gasket surface to the top of the float when the carburetor is held upside down. It's important to ensure that both carburetors are adjusted to the same specification for optimal performance. Always refer to the service manual for detailed procedures and specifications.
To adjust the timing on a Suzuki VZ800, first, ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Next, remove the timing cover to access the timing marks on the flywheel and the timing plate. Adjust the timing by loosening the bolts on the timing plate and rotating it slightly to align the marks, then retighten the bolts. Finally, recheck the timing and replace the cover before starting the engine to ensure proper operation.
what is the capacity or how much fork oil does a vz800 take ?
On a 1998 Suzuki VZ800, the timing marks are located on the engine's crankshaft and camshaft. You can find the timing marks on the left side of the engine, near the stator cover. The crankshaft has a mark that aligns with a corresponding mark on the case, while the camshaft has marks that should align with the cylinder head when the engine is at top dead center (TDC) for proper timing alignment. Always refer to the service manual for precise details and illustrations.
Should be under the seat.
There are two on my 98 marauder. One is directly under the gas tank, the other is under the seat at the back end of the rear engine cyinder. You have to remove the gas tank to get to the front one. Take the side covers off and the battery out to get to the other. If you search online, you can find a vz800 repair manual with details.
