add 1.5 octane to your gas. Every 10 points is one octane when added to fuel if u follow instructions.
cheap gasoline, try a higher octane gas or add an octane booster to your tank
87 octane gasoline is typically colorless or pale yellow in appearance. Some gasoline suppliers may add dyes to differentiate between different grades, but this can vary by region.
You can add ethanol to gasoline to make the octane higher.
Octane and Heptane. Some producers might add proprietary engine detergents to the mix.
If you are refering to regular gas, it's not recommended. Some people use it as well as myself due to the fact of gas prices. What I do is add a gas octane boost to compansate for the lower octane fuel.
In a gasoline engine, definitely not. There are times when it is not inappropriate to add small amounts of gasoline to diesel for a diesel engine.
The engine is designed to work with low octane gas .... However, whatever works best for your bike, that's the choice for you. By the way, there is no need to add lead substitute into the gas - whatever is your choice of gasoline. Happy riding ...
I sometimes do in my 2007 Nomad, but it runs smoother on premium. Sometimes to save money I'll use regular and add octane.
Per the owner's manual: "Use regular unleaded gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher. However for best performance and for trailer towing, you may wish to use middle grade or premium unleaded gasoline." GM sure covers all the bases. I've had no problems using regular grade in mine. All 2000-up Northstars can use 87 octane gas. I run 93 since it can give an extra edge if you are driving the car hard like I do. But for casual driving, 87 is fine. My 2000 Deville knocks a little on 87 octane. Instead of buying premium 91 octane, I fill up and leave about three gallons to spare. Then for the remaining 3 gallons, I add E-85 ethanol. It is 105 octane and the car runs great on this mixture. You should not add any more than a 50% mixture of this to your gas as it will confuse the O2 sensor and cause a check engine light. E-85 is corrosive to a non FFV (flex fuel vehicle) but at this mixture, you will be fine and if the check engine light comes on, simply put a little more 87 octane in. For more info on E-85 go to www.e-85.com or www.alcohol4fuel.com
you can use regular unleaded, just add an octane boost every couple times you fill up
Diesel fuel itself will burn but you really can't call it flammable. When you add gasoline to it, the flammability greatly increases with the amount of gasoline you add.
Run a tank of high octane through it or add a bottle of octane boost, I did this 4 months ago and have been able to run 87 octane in it and the ping has not returned yet.
