To check the oil level on a 2004 Electra Glide Classic, start by ensuring the motorcycle is on a level surface and the engine is warm but turned off. Remove the dipstick from the oil tank, wipe it clean, then reinsert it without threading it in. Pull it out again to check the oil level; it should be between the marked high and low indicators. If necessary, add oil to bring it within the correct range.
775 lbs (give or take). About 825 when you add fluids (oil, fuel, brake fluid). Of course, that's with luggage. Not sure what the base weight is.

To change the oil on a 2004 Electra Glide, start by warming up the engine slightly to thin the oil, then turn it off. Place a drain pan under the oil pan, remove the oil drain plug, and allow the old oil to fully drain out. Replace the drain plug, then remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench and install a new one, making sure to lubricate the rubber gasket with new oil. Finally, fill the engine with fresh oil through the oil filler cap, checking the level with the dipstick, and run the engine briefly to circulate the new oil before checking for leaks.
The 2004 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide is equipped with a carbureted engine, specifically the Twin Cam 88, rather than a fuel-injected system. Fuel injection was introduced in later models, starting with the 2007 Ultra Classic. Therefore, if you're looking for a fuel-injected model, you would need to consider a model from 2007 or later.
Possible clearance problems with the gas tank. The bolt patter for most throttle bodies is identical on the fuel injected models, it is only the tanks and things to get around that makes the air cleaners a "hold up lets look at this" sorta thing. Be aware, since 08, when they came out with the "fly by wire" throttle system, there is a huge assembly hanging off the side of the throttle body.
walk to the right side of the bike. lay down and look underneath the bike. You will see an oil pan just behind the engine and just below the tranny. the engine oil drain plug is at the front and the tranny plug is facing you and about half way of the pan
