Oh, dude, you're asking about engine oil for a Bombardier 500 Traxter? Like, you'll want to use a good quality 10W-40 synthetic oil to keep that bad boy running smoothly. Just make sure to check your owner's manual to be extra sure, but hey, that's the general recommendation for most ATVs.
The 1999 Bombardier Traxter 500 typically requires about 2 quarts of oil for an oil change, including the oil filter. Always refer to the owner’s manual for the most accurate specifications and recommendations for your specific model.
The 2002 Bombardier Traxter 500 typically uses a 4-stroke engine oil, specifically a motorcycle or ATV oil with a viscosity of 10W-40. It's important to use an oil that meets the API service classification of SG or higher. Always consult the owner’s manual for specific recommendations and ensure that the oil you choose is suitable for your riding conditions.
The 2000 Bombardier Traxter 500 typically requires about 2.5 quarts (2.4 liters) of oil for an oil change with a filter replacement. If you're just changing the oil without a filter change, it may take slightly less. Always refer to the owner's manual for the most accurate specifications and recommendations for oil type.
In the manual, It said that synthetic blend oil should not be used in it, so I wouldn't risk it. I would just use brand name mineral based.
SAE 10w30
Per the manuel. Oil & filter should be changed at same time. (Every 50 hours or 777 miles). Remove dip stick. Put a pan under engine. Unscrew drain plug. Remove right hand side panel then door in foot rest. Unscrew oil fiter cover. Replace filter with bombideir. 10-40 wt oil for the traxter, but 5-40 for the max 5 speed. They want you to use the bombardier oil as they say it is special for the tranney and belt. (Engine and transmission uses the same oil and is changed together.) I didnt do this myself, but just had my dealer do it and it cost $105s! Think I will try it next time. Bogus Bill
With the 3.4 engine, to reseal the oil pan, parts and labor, $500 to $600. With the 3.8 engine, $400 to $500.
0-40w.
There is no transmission oil, its what is considered a wet clutch the engine oil lubricates the clutch, 2 quarts will fill the engine oil.
