The kx 85 is over all faster......but the 150r would give it a run for its money
a crf150r is like a rocket to a kx85 a crf150r will eat a kx 85 for breakfast!!! there both fast but i have trouble with the kx and no trouble with 150!!! So overall a crf150r runs better and is faster!!!
i have both and i am quite sure the 85 is a bit faster not by much though
I have had both bikes, a 2005 CR85 and a 2007 CRF150R. I prefer the 150r much more, and I can pull the holeshot on my stock 150 over all those 85's. The four-stroke power (torque) is amazing, feels like a mini 250.
Kawasaki!
The Kawasaki Bayou is a 4 stroke.
As an owner of the 2007 crf150r i honestly must say it really depends on the rider and the track, the cr85r would probably get a faster time than the crf150r with the same driver on a tight track, but if it were a quarter mile drag the crf150r would blow it away. Both bikes top out between 80-85 mph, the cr85r has quicker acceleration than the crf150r, but only by a tiny bit because it is a two-stroke, but do not under estimate the crf150r because it is mosy definitely unlike any four-stroke ever built, it is if its a four-stoke on steroids.
A 2015 Kawasaki KX 85 weighs 165 pounds. A different year Kawasaki KX 85 motorcycle may vary in weight by a little but not more than 10 or so pounds.
The rear tire size for the Kawasaki KX100 is 90/100-16 while the Honda CR 85 has a smaller rear tire of 90/90-14. The main difference is in the larger Kawasaki rim. I think it will fit.
