The pattern is a standard one down, four up if foot-pegs and toe shifting.
With floorboards and a paddle shift, first gear is down with your toe, and 2-3-4-5 are down with your heel on the paddle.

To change the coolant in a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard M50, first ensure the engine is cool, then remove the radiator cap and drain the old coolant by opening the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator. Once drained, close the plug and refill the radiator with a 50/50 mix of recommended coolant and distilled water. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new coolant, then check for leaks and ensure the coolant level is correct before replacing the radiator cap. Dispose of the old coolant properly, as it is hazardous to the environment.
