As a genaral rule cruisers aren't about "top speeds" but "Max. Tourque", Kawi. and other manufacturers don't usually give "top speeds" in their literature...mainly due to legality issues. There are plenty of exceptions to the rule however. (think zx-10-14 etc.) A multitude of variables aside, rider's weight etc. With a displacement of 903cc (55.10 cubic inches) and maximum torque: 60.5 - 60.8lb.-ft. @ 3,500 rpm, a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and with a dry weight around 249.0 kg (549.0 pounds) a realistic top speed would probably be around 100 mph or 160.93 kph. You'll no doubt have a higher rpm and associated engine vibrations and a rather uncomfortable riding experience should you sustain that level of speed, however.
The 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 has a 6-speed transmission. This setup allows for a smooth range of gear ratios, providing a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency. It's designed for both highway cruising and city riding.
