pull the primary plugs out of the primary case on the lefthand side of th bike, there should be two.fill the primary with 20/50 oil .the bike should be held upright.when oil starts to come out of the lower primary plug, stop adding oil.when the oil stops coming out of the hole (dripping).it is full (about 1 and 1 1/2 quarts) replace the primary plugs.it should be full at this point.
If you mean trans fluid, you pour it in the trans dipstick hole.
on top, right side of trans
Not much to a yuppie....otherwise the motor and trans are worth 2k to me.
20-50 wt motor oil OR HD Primary oil
I am not sure of viscosity, but if you have Harley Davidson on your fuel tank, you should use Harley Davidson lubricants. H. D. primary and trans lube or H.D. 20/50 synthetic motor oil will work just fine.
engine oil 20-50 trans formula + primary formula +
it depends on the model of bike it could be on the oil bag or on the bottom of the trans
I use Harley Davidson 20w50 in my 2003 883 and in my 2005 wide glide. Bel Ray also makes good oil for v twins, alot of my freinds use it. Also, you will need one quart of Sport-Trans for the primary/transmission oil.
The engine oil supply holds three quarts. The primary/transmission holds one quart of Sport-Trans.
In as much as Harley has discontinued Sport Trans Fluid and it's now an obsolete part number I think the only HD product out there is Formula+ for your use.
A Harley-Davidson Fat Bob typically requires about 1 quart (approximately 1 liter) of oil for the primary chaincase. For the transmission, it generally needs around 1 quart as well. It's always best to check the owner's manual for the specific model year, as oil capacities can vary slightly.
The 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King typically requires about 3 quarts of transmission fluid when performing a transmission fluid change. It's important to use the recommended type of fluid, which is usually Harley-Davidson's own transmission fluid or an equivalent. Always check the owner's manual or service manual for the most accurate information and specific procedures.
