start at zero lash on all tappets and then tighten 1/4 turn on each until you go one turn 360 engine will bogg every every 1/4 turn so let it recover before next turn and be sure engine is warm if possible
Its pretty simple. Get cylinder your working on at tdc (both valves FULLY closed). Then tighten rocker nut till theres no lash in pushrod ( twist it gently with your fingers back and forth). Once youve done that tighten an additional 360 degrees. No more or you can cause rough idle or even a no start condition. I set mine at 3/4 turn past zero lash to be safe.
The valve clearance for a 2008 Kawasaki Prairie 360 is typically set at 0.10-0.15 mm (0.004-0.006 inches) for the intake valves and 0.15-0.20 mm (0.006-0.008 inches) for the exhaust valves. It's important to check and adjust the valve clearance periodically to ensure optimal engine performance and longevity. Always refer to the owner's manual or service manual for specific specifications and procedures.
