The 1983 Suzuki GS850G is a four stroke, four piston engine. Final drive is a shaft drive.
Chain
1) Drive-shafts are used on FWD but Prop-Shafts are used on RWD or 4WD. 2)A Drive-Shaft has final drive via a CV joint but a Prop-Shaft has final drive via a Differential. 3)A Drive-Shaft is smaller, lighter and saves space by not having a transmition tunnel.
first make sure rear brake is not adj to tight, i beleave that is a drum type brake on that bike. if it is not the brake than you probibly have a shaft drive issue.did this bike just get a rear tire? if so there a spacer that sits in the final drive hub that keeps the wheel from contacting the drive unit. may have fallen out and tire changer did not notice. allthough unlikly.last of all frozen drive system bearing somewhere? this drive system can lock from output shaft on engine, to final drive. start from wheel and move forward, remove wheel, final drive etc until seized part is found. hoe this helps. All of the VS800 Intruders are, to my knowledge, shaft drive. Likewise, I know that the 2000 model used a choke system for cold starts and since fuel injection does not require a manual choke, then I can safely say that this model is not fuel injected. Therefore, in my round about way, we have this: Fuel injected? No. Shaft driven? Yes.
To remove the front drive shaft on a Suzuki King Quad, first ensure the ATV is on a stable surface and secure it with jack stands. Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues. Then, remove the bolts securing the front drive shaft to the front differential and the rear end, and carefully slide the shaft out. Make sure to check for any wear or damage on the components before reassembly.
There is no oil contained in the driveshaft housing of a C50. It is essentially "dry". However, there is fluid in the final drive that should be level with the bottom of the fill plug when the bike is upright. Do be aware that while there is no oil in the driveshaft, the splined ends of the internal driveshaft must be greased periodically which requires the removal of the final drive.
Loosen the 3 driveshaft bolts disconnect the rear brake cable, pull the axle nut, and then pull the axle shaft. the drive side should be removed carefully and the brake side hub both just release upon removal.
The BMW F 800 series has a belt final drive, as do the new F 650. The old F 650 was a chain final drive. All other BMW motorcycles have a drive shaft as a final drive.
Maybe the gearbox is broken, or the final drive, or a half shaft?
engine power finally transmitted to end of wheel . this transmission 's called " final drive" . this tranmission system used in differential and propeller shaft
Sounds like a broken axle shaft
