15 year old car? I'd go up to a High-mileage 10W-40 and stick in 20 percent Lucas oil additive.

Recommended....5W30.
For a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria : ( it came from the factory with 5W-30 )
Always use a circuit tester to be sure before you take it apart.
I just inherited my grandfathers 1992 Ford F-150 5.8L V8 and the sticker on the window says "10-50". Answer It should use 10w30 motor oil. you should use what it tells you to use

To change the clutch of a 94 Tempo, one needs to make use of Ford Tempo clutch kit. This kits is available at Auto Parts Warehouse.
If possible you need to continue using the type of oil that has been used previously, if not I use 5W-30 in mine
mounted on oil filter housing just below ignition mod. turn counter clockwise use small tack hammer small vise grips if no wrench is avaible tap gently untill it comes loose. not easy job warning do not hit ign. mod your looking for more problems.
I would use the manufacturer recommended 10w30. Motorcraft does make oil, though valvoline or mobil 1 are both good also. Make sure that you use a Motorcraft oil filter though -- do not use fram at any cost.
