The rototiller uses engine oil that is 30 weight or more. The transmission does not need to have oil added to it, only the engine.Ê
2 cycle motor oil
If it is a 2 cycle engine, no, you must use 2 cycle oil. If it is a 4 cycle then use exactly what the manufacture recommends.
I wouldn't recomend it.
The oil capacity for a Toro 6.5 HP motor typically ranges from 20 to 24 ounces, depending on the specific model. It is important to consult the owner’s manual for the exact specifications and recommendations for oil type and maintenance. Regular checks and changes of the oil will help ensure optimal performance and longevity of the engine.
No - 2 cycle oil is the only oil you should use in a 2 cycle motor. Because 2 cycle oil is designed to mix with the gas and lube the motor. Your "truck oil" is not the 4 cycle oil will not mix it is designed to just lube in the crank case.
If its got a oil plug its a 4 cycle, 5w-30 motor oil
If it is a 4-cycle engine you definitely need motor oil. If its a 2-cycle engine then the oil is mixed with the gas. If its a reel mower then no oil is needed except for external lubrication. Depending on the engine manufacturer the 4-cycle engines will require either SAE30 or 10w30 motor oil.
i believe they have an oil injection system on these engines
You can not use 4-cycle oil in a 2-cycle engine because the four cycle oil will not mix it is not designed to.Two cycle oil is designed to mix with fule to lube the two cycle parts in your motor.
NO
You cannot mix your own 2 cycle oil. You must purchase 2 cycle oil just like you purchase 4 cycle oil.
