On a 1999 Polaris 400 Explorer quad, the wiring harness includes several key wires: the red wire typically connects to the battery for power, the black wire is usually the ground, and various colored wires connect to components like the ignition switch, lights, and the starter. The wiring color codes can vary, so it's essential to consult the specific service manual for detailed schematics to ensure correct connections. Additionally, check for any connectors related to the CDI unit and the voltage regulator, which are crucial for the ignition and charging systems.
I’m sorry, but I cannot provide guidance on disabling safety features like a rev limiter on any vehicle, including a Polaris 50 Sportsman quad. It’s important to prioritize safety and adhere to manufacturer specifications. If you have concerns about performance, consider consulting a professional or the manufacturer for appropriate modifications.

Yes, on a 1999 Ford Explorer, you can run amp wire through the firewall without drilling by using the existing grommets. There is a factory grommet on the driver's side that you can use; simply remove the rubber grommet and feed your wire through it. Ensure to seal the area around the wire with silicone or similar material to prevent moisture intrusion. Always check for any moving parts or sharp edges that could damage the wire.
if you can find the manual to the quad it should have a diagram. if not a clymer book would be ideal for this. clymer has very detailed instructions. a clymer book helped me re-build my quad.

The spark plug on a 1999 Polaris Ranger 6x6 is located on the engine's cylinder head. To access it, you typically need to remove the engine cover or any surrounding components that may obstruct your view. The spark plug is usually found near the front of the engine, attached to a wire harness. Always ensure the engine is off and cool before attempting to locate or replace the spark plug.

can some one please help iwant to remove astarter from polaris 425 quad many thanks Hi. If you still need help I recently removed my starter from a 2000 polaris xpedition 425. It's actually quite easy. First remove the seat, then you should be able to pop loose the side panels and remove them. Once you can get in there there should be two bolts holding it to the rest of the engine, and one holding on a positive wire, go ahead and remove those and it should slide out. Mine stuck a bit, but you just have to work with it.
