Since the 10th didget is D it would be a 1984 model because in 1980 they started using a 17 didget VIN # and using the 10th didget for the year 1980 was A, 81 B, 83 C, 84 D and so on they did not use all the letters in the alphabet I cant remember all of them but I know the important ones. hope it helps
