It depends on if you mean top end speed or start off speed, and also the year of your bike. Old 4 strokes arn't as quick off the mark but are good for top end speed but new 4 strokes are just as good as 2 strokes and that's why they are pushing 2 strokes out the marked. So all in all, 2 strokes are better for instant power (bottom end) however 4 strokes are quicker once moving
i say that a 4 stroke is faster than a 2 stroke
the 2 stroke has more rpm than 4 stroke because it has less moving parts and the cycles are faster because there is only 2 and in the 4 stroke there is 4
yes it is faster but does not have the same torque as a 4 stroke
Oil is a lubricant. 2 stroke oil is designed to be mixed with gasoline and in that form it lubricates the engine. 4 stroke oil lubricates the engine but is not burned as 2 stroke oil is. This has nothing to do with speed. So, the answer to your question is neither is faster as they are just lubricants.
For the same engine size, it should be.
The 2 stroke will be faster because of differences in Waite but more polluting be it oil mixed with fuel
There is a difference between 2 stroke and 4 stroke, hopefully you know that part. yz250 is a 2 stroke, and yz250f is a 4 stroke. 2 stroke 125cc is the same as a 250cc 4 stroke. a 250cc 2 stroke is the same as a 450cc 4 stroke. so if you get the yz250, it will be ALOT faster then the yz250f, there different kinds of power. hopefully that helps.
the 2 stroke is faster
2 stroke means it takes two strokes for a power stroke and 4 sroke takes four strokes for power stroke so in otherwise 2 strokes are way faster and more torqey
im not sure about that but i can say that a 2 stroke 125cc is faster than a 125cc 4 stroke and probably 200cc too. a 125cc 2 stroke would throw you off the back if you cant handle it properly, where as the 4 stroke wouldn't scare the living daylights out of you
the 2 strokes have a lot of tourqe and a lot of speed ^^ Thats wrong, 4 strokes have more torque. CC for CC 2 strokes are faster for ex. a Yz250 (2s) is faster than a YZ250f (4s). But in classes, the 4 strokes have such a displacement advantage its stupid, a 250 2 stroke has to race against a 450 4 stroke.... as the old saying goes there's no replacement for displacement, so the 4 strokes win because of rules...
No. I have a 100cc kx 100 2 stroke and i can race 450's and beat them. 2 strokes are faster off of the starting line and in a straight away race, but after maybe a mile 1/2 the 4 stroke will win
