On a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is typically located on the right side of the motorcycle frame, near the steering head. It can also be found on the left side of the frame, just below the seat. Additionally, the VIN may be displayed on a sticker attached to the frame or on the engine itself.
Im only guessing by the # but I think it was prob. a January 2003 model from the j03

there is no engine vin vin stands for vehicle identification number
On a 17 digit VIN , the 8th " character " of the VIN will indicate which engine you have
The Vehicle Identification Number, or VIN, only identifies the body and frame of the vehicle. There is no VIN number on the engine and the engine number is not related to the VIN.
You will find the VIN number in the neck of the frame. Engine number, the vin is on the neck but as a dirt bike it may not have an engine #
On a 2001 Cavalier, the 8th character of the VIN is the engine code. In all 17 character vin's, the 8th character is the engine code.
The eighth digit of the vin number is the engine code.
The Yamaha R6 motorcycle is a very fast bike. It has a newly designed engine and is a superbike. It is very cool and has a very good reputation for customers.
It can't. The the only thing that a VIN number has in common with the engine is the 8th digit of the VIN tells what type of engine it is. The VIN number though may allow the dealer to access the engine number from their databases.
Get under the engine bay and uses a flashlight to find the VIN. The VIN stamp will vary from vehicle to vehicle, but will be mounted somewhere on the engine block. Some older vehicles will contain a serial number instead of a VIN. Match up the VIN from the engine block to the VIN on the vehicle. If the engine block has a serial number instead of a VIN then contact the manufacture dealer to see what serial number the original engine block had. .
