Hi
I had a main electrical problem on the 1992 virago 535 XV :
suddenly absolutely no power (no neutral, no horn, no lights of any kind),
checked the main fuse (which had burned) :
As far as my machine is concerned to check the main fuse :
the main fuse on virago 535 XV is under the principal seat
following a group of red cables reaching a black box.
in fact it is a white plastic connector box in a black rubber holder glued on the machine frame, with a black plastic cover labelled FUSES
the main fuse is the green (30 A automotive kind)
the box is easy to open
but sometimes it may need a fuse tweezers to take off the burned fuse.
hopping it can help any beginner...
yes they are not cheap, but just type in virago 535 centre stand and they will come up
45
Approximately 92 MPH on the 1990 model.

possible change diaphragms in both carbs.
The color code the primary color red is 4794-96944222.
The Yamaha Virago 535 has a circular window on the front left side of the crankcase, immediately behind the shift linkage. The bike needs to be held upright (second person) and then the use of a flashlight helps see the level in the window. Level should be approximately center of the window.
The fuse panel on the Virago is under the instrument light cluster that surrounds the ignition switch where the neutral indicator light is located.
the starter clutchs are junk. but other than that...a pretty good bike
Fuel capacity is 3.6 US gal with .7 US gal reserve
The recommended amount of fork oil for Virago 535 front forks is typically around 390-410 ml per fork leg, depending on the specific year and model. It is best to consult the owner's manual or a service manual for the exact amount recommended for your specific bike.
Not and have it look cool like does now. Certainly you can change the look and retrofit another tank.
