There is no adjustment for the starter clutch. If it isn't worknig properly you replace the rollers, springs and other parts as needed.
the unit for the cx 650 custom is at the rear of the battery best to take the seat off. A cx 500 custom is in the head light. Some times the 650 has had a none factory mod and put in the head lamp
