On a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500, the water sensor is typically located in the engine compartment, near the air intake or the carburetor area. It is designed to detect water in the fuel system and prevent engine damage. If you're having trouble locating it, consult the owner's manual or a service manual for a detailed diagram.

If your se is bad anti freeze will leak from the weep hole on the bottom side of the water pump cover really this is the only thing that will happen to the polaris twins
As long as it is for aluminum any antifreeze will work you just cut it 50/50 with water .
The thermostat on a Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV is typically located in the water pump housing, near the engine. To access it, you usually need to remove the plastic cover and possibly some other components, depending on the model year. For a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500, it's recommended to use a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water as coolant. Polaris typically suggests using their own brand of coolant, but any high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant designed for ATV use should suffice. Always ensure to check the owner's manual for specific recommendations regarding coolant specifications.
