It sounds like you have one of two issues.
Either the battery is getting weak or the valves need to be adjusted.

There is a charging system that is under the flywheel. It is a magnetto system.

the starter is attached to the motor under the flywheel. look for the battery cable going from the solonoid to the motor and that will be the starter
