mine doesn't do that... have 30k miles so far, if your bike does that seems like the fork that shift between gears have worn out. the 2nd gear on any bike always take the biggest abuse among all other gears, because when you shift from 1st to 2nd you have to travel the gap from neutral that give the 2nd gear harder jobs. overhaul the transmission and replace worn out parts will fix the problem, but they are pricey unless you can do it yourself. best deal would be bear with it, jump from 1st all the way to 3rd. YZF have close ratio so it should not give you big issue unless you ride in the city a lot... or you can try to hold the shifter right after you shift from 1st to 2nd, not suggested but work with my friend's FZR...
Good Luck
how many gears does a 1995 Yamaha Virago 250 have? And is there anywhere I could look at a picture diagram of what need to take place in order to shift from gear to gear?
The shift pattern on a 1995 Yamaha Warrior 350 is a standard manual configuration, featuring a five-speed transmission with a heel-toe shifter. The pattern is typically one down for first gear and four up for the higher gears, meaning you shift down to engage first and then shift up through the gears sequentially. There is no neutral between first and second; neutral is located between first and second gear.
how gear are shifted in Yamaha FZ byk
it cost ten throe seventy dollars
On a dry fill it's 800 mil, for an oil change 750 mil
Yamaha
The neutral position is usually between first gear and second gear. Put the bike in first gear then push up that should put it in neutral.
Your synchro is going bad.
It should be on the left under the gear change, it'll probably be like a little bolt.
Your Yamaha Bruin may not shift out of low gear because something may be wrong with the gear box, so you should have it checked.
It simply means that "Second Gear Start" has been turned on. The switch is by your left knee on the dash, under the headlight knob. This starts your car out in second gear. Best used in snowy weather.
Yamaha Viraho 750 holds cca 2 dcl of gear oil. I think it will be about the same.
