There is less of a pressure change when the tires heat up verse when they are cold, compared to regular air. The Selling point at dealerships is that the low/flat tire light won't come on as much. "It is not worth it on any street vehicle", it is only useful in race cars, were tire temperature get close to 200 degrees. In a race little pressure change can cost alot of track time and affect handling.
No, a bike tire pump cannot be used to inflate car tires because car tires require a higher pressure than what a bike pump can provide. It is recommended to use a proper car tire pump for inflating car tires.
most used is nitrogen..

Nitrogen mixed with normal air
Nitrogen is a dry, inert gas used to inflate airplane tires, off-road truck tires, military vehicle tires, and race car tires for improved performance, more tire mileage and better fuel economy.

Using nitrogen in car tires yields better fuel efficiency and longer tire life.
The different types of valves used in bike tires are Presta valves and Schrader valves. Presta valves are slender and have a lock nut at the top, while Schrader valves are wider and similar to those found on car tires.
