Oil may not be draining from your 1500 Suzuki Intruder for several reasons, including a clogged oil filter, a malfunctioning oil pump, or a blocked oil passage. Additionally, if the bike has been recently run, the oil may still be warm and thick, making it difficult to drain. It's also important to ensure the bike is positioned correctly to allow gravity to aid in the draining process. Checking for any potential leaks or damage to the oil system can also help identify the issue.

remove the right side engine cover
On the Suzuki Intruder 1500, the oil fill cap is located on the right side of the engine, near the rear cylinder. It is typically marked with an oil symbol and can be accessed easily for topping off or checking the oil level. Make sure to use the appropriate oil type as specified in the owner's manual.
There is no dipstick. There is a sight glass on the lower right side of the engine.
what kind of oil filter do I need for a 86 susuki intruder 750
type of oil does a suzuki intruder 650 take
I have a 1986 Suzuki 700 Intruder and a Fram PH6018 oil fliter does not fit it ... This filter has a 24mm fine thread mount and mine is closer to 18mm fine thread
The main fuse is under the panel on the right side behind the forks and the rest of the fuses are in the crank case under the cover...where you fill the oil.
oil filter is under the battery, oil drain plug has the number 4 on it toward the back of the engine. The clear lens on the right side of the motor is the oil level check. (MAKE SURE THE BIKE IS UP RIGHT WHEN YOU CHECK IT. NOT ON THE KICK STAND) and the oil fill is to the left of the clear lens oil check. just take the two hex screws out and remove the chrome cover.
