How do you change oil on a 2001 sportster 1200
The 1996 Suzuki Bandit motorcycle can use any 10W-30 motor oil. A heavier motor oil can be used in extreme climates.
I have a 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200s with over 116k miles. Original clutch, have never had any engine work. Whenever I've checked the valves there have been only 2 or 3 that were .001 off. I change the oil every 2k miles and use MC oil. I ride year round in Northern Va.
It may depend on the year of your motorcycle. It may also depend on the engine size (600cc, 650cc, 1200cc, 1250cc) Here are the recommended amounts for a 2001-2002 Bandit 1200: NECESSARY AMOUNT OF ENGINE OIL Oil change: 3.3 L (3.5/2.9 US/Imp qt) Oil and filter change: 3.5 L (3.7/3.1 US/Imp qt) Engine overhaul: 4.6 L (4.9/4.0 US/Imp qt)
Under the bike on the left side is a 17mm nut.
Suzuki Bandit GSF1200 (This is according to the Suzuki Service Manual) 1996 - 2000 Models: 514ml (17.3/18.1 US/Imp oz) per fork 2001 - 2004 Models: 507ml (17.1/17.9 US/Imp oz) per fork for E-03, 28, 33 models. 509ml for others.
To change the fork seals on a Suzuki Bandit 1200, start by removing the front wheel and brake calipers, then detach the forks from the bike. Use a fork seal driver tool to carefully remove the old seals and clean the fork tubes. Install the new seals, ensuring they are seated correctly, then reassemble the forks with fresh oil. Finally, reinstall the forks onto the bike, reattach the wheel, and ensure everything is tightened to the manufacturer’s specifications.
where do you ad motor oil on a 2001 Kawasaki voyager 1200
10w-40 semi synthetic 4 stroke oil will do nicely! Just under 4 liters for an oil change.
Where is it?
