The original wiring will work just fine. The only difference from LED to your old lights is the way they work. Incandesent VS light emitting diode. Simply change to LED bulbs or replace your turn signal housings if you must. You will not need to change the wiring.

you haven't said what kind of led lighting. ie turn signals, under lighting and what colors.

For the most part no, but there if they are too bright, you can get ticketed.
To wire a beacon light, add the proper resistor to the LED. Then bypass the decoder and wire the LED's cathode and anode to the opposite rails.

The term 'wire to wire' in any sport means the player/team led the competition from the beginning to the end.
The flat side marks the cathode, or negative wire coming out of the LED. Make sure that the wire on the flat side is connected to ground.

Connect one wire from the LED to each of the terminals on a battery - provided the battery has enough power, the LED will glow !
You can't run the LEDs directly off the speakers, you need a special drive circuit to go between. Then you turn that drive circuit on and off.
