Nebraska did not vote in the 1860 presidential election because it was not yet a state; it was still a territory at that time. The Nebraska Territory was established in 1854, and while it had a territorial government, it did not have the status or rights of statehood, which included the ability to participate in federal elections. It wasn't until 1867 that Nebraska became the 37th state in the Union.
South Carolina seceded from the Union on 20 December 1860 and later joined with six other states to form the CSA in February 1861.
Secession winter was the winter of 1860-1861, when 7 southern states (South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas) seceded in rapid succession.

Slavery was legal in several states in 1860, mainly in the Southern states of the United States. These states included Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas among others.

Manchester College - Indiana - was created in 1860.
The Southern States did not secede until 1860 due to the work of Henry Clay, "The Great Compromiser". His efforts included things like the Compromise of 1850 and the Kansas-Nebraska Act.
Oklahoma was not a state during the 1860's and was considered to be "Indian Territory" and initially controlled by the Confederate States.

In 1860, the following territories and States were bordered with Missouri;A. States of Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Iowa. B. Territories were Kansas and Nebraska and the land now known as Oklahoma was called an "unorganized" territory.
