Slaves would be whipped, branded, cut, have contraptions put on their heads, rolled down steep hills or have salt put in the wounds they got from being whipped. They would get whipped if they misbehaved or just because the slave owners wanted to show who is boss and to make them not misbehave in the future.

Well, I'm 10 years old; but that does NOT mean I don't Know my history!! They used the strap on people. They made kids sit on one-legged stools(Boy that would make your legs ace) ;They also other hurtful things But I do not feel like naming all of them. They also used the dunce hat( look it up on Google if you don't know what a dunce hat is!)

Punishment 3 : working too slow

Overseers usually hit them with a strap to make them work faster
