The Nunnallys had a very large estate on Holcomb Bridge Road at the Chattahoochee River in North Fulton County Georgia. We called it the "Nunnally Plantation", it never was a real plantation owned by them.. that I know of. My uncle Gordon Crickenberger was the grounds and garden keeper there in the late 1950s and that is how I am familiar with the Nunnally estate. He took me to work with himself a few times and I remember a scene of grandeur that only multimillionaire could afford, such as a huge party pavilion near the river that was probably 4 or 5 thousand square feet and fit for a king. This is all the information that I can offer you about the Nunnallys but I do hope that it gives you some insight in "The Candy of the South!." Gary Hufstetler, Marietta Georgia
