The brothers of Prometheus are Atlas, Epimetheus, and Menoitios
Prometheus is the brother of Menoetius, Atlas, and Epimetheus. His father was Lapetus the Titan and his mother was Clymene, an elemental Oceanid.
Prometheus placed his brother Atlas at the western edge of the world, often associated with the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. He was tasked with holding up the sky to prevent it from collapsing on the earth. This punishment came after Atlas sided with the Titans in their war against the Olympian gods. Thus, Atlas became a symbol of endurance and strength, bearing the weight of the heavens.
Prometheus means, "One with foresight". The Olympian god Prometheus had the power of forethought/foresight.
The mythological Prometheus had a son named Deucalion. Deucalion was the Greek mythology equivalent of Noah. Zeus caused a great flood while he was angry at King Lycaon. Deucalion (son of Prometheus) created a Chest (same as Ark) to save himself and his wife during the great flood.
He isn't a god, Prometheus is a titan, after being freed, Prometheus told Heracles not to pick the apples, but to get Atlas to get them, by tricking him.
The brothers of Prometheus are Atlas, Epimetheus, and Menoitios
Atlas had several siblings, his parents were Iapetos and Clymene and their children included Epimetheus, Prometheus, Bouphagos, Menoitios and Anchiale.
Epimetheus and Atlas
Epimetheus and Atlas.
Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Menoetius.
You're two qualifiers are mutually exclusive. Prometheus and Atlas were not human, they were Titans, and so their parents were Titans as well. They were not ancestors of humans any more than one could say that God is an ancestor of man. Prometheus CREATED man in Greek mythology. That hardly makes him an ancestor. Remember, Wikipedia is edited by everyone... and some people are idiots. For the record, though, Prometheus and Atlas were sons of Iapetos.
The father of Prometheus is Iapetus. He was also the father of Atlas.
Atlas and Epimetheus
His sons were called Titans; Atlas (Endures) Prometheus (Forethought) Epimetheus (Afterthought) Menoetius (Doomed Might)
Fathering Atlas, Prometheus, and Epimetheus. Just so you know, Iapetus is more correctly identified as a Titan.
Atlas and Epimetheus
