Yes, when it becomes dangerous and painful.
In the book they didn't; Lucius and Narcissa abandoned Voldemort during the battle and ran around shouting Draco's name. They were then sitting alone together in the Great Hall after the battle ended. For the film, four different endings were filmed for the Malfoys. Presumably they chose the one with the Malfoys walking off to show their betrayal of Voldemort, or something like that.
Answering this question fully will require some spoilers, so be warned. Voldemort is obviously the main bad guy. His followers are the Death Eaters. The most prominent Death Eaters are Bellatrix, Snape, and the Malfoys. Bellatrix is evil and stays evil. Snape seems evil at first, but turns out to be a double agent on the side of good. The Malfoys are loyal to Voldemort at first, but they ultimately abandon him. There are also a lot of unnamed Death Eaters and Dark creatuers on Voldemort's side. Outside of Voldemort's forces, there's Griphook, who can't exactly be considered good since he betrayed the Trio after getting them into Gringotts.
The reader doesn't know.
Nope, he lives.PS: There are three Malfoys in the story, none of them die.

Voldemort steals it from Dumbledore's grave, but it is rightfully Draco Malfoys, then Harry disarms Draco, so the wand is Harry's, but Voldemort still has it. Then when Harry defeats him, Harry takes the wand, but instead of keeping it, uses it to mend his Pheonix wand.

because when she was having her hearing for following voldemort unlike everybody else she didn't try to fight and said that she did follow Voldemort and that the dark lord would rise again and she was loyal to her master. Voldemort knew of this and favored her.
He died in the Malfoys basement when Harry and co where trying to escape. In the 3rd book Harry stopped Remus and Sirus from killing Wormtail, this ment that Wormtail owed Harry. So when he tried killing Harry in the 7th book in the Malfoys basement Harry reminded him of this and so Wormtail killed himself with his magically made hand which Voldemort gave him.
When Harry "died," he actually was just dreaming. When Voldemort tried to kill him, he destroyed the horcrux that was located in Harry. The small child on the floor at King's Cross was the horcrux for Voldemort. Harry got up and went on to defeat Voldemort by using Malfoy's wand against Voldemort. The Elder wand's rightful owner was Malfoy, so when Harry used Malfoys wand against what was his own wand, the spells backfired. Dumbledore was killed by Snape in the Sixth book. Harry didn't die because of the horcrux.
Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle are Malfoys friends who follow him everywhere. Pansy Parkinson is also sometimes around Malfoy trying to impress him.
