Are there any unproven rumors from Yu Yu Hakusho?

The only one I can think of is the one regarding Hiei and Kurama. The whole rumor revolves around them being gay lovers. I don't think there is any real evidence proving or disproving this rumor. Although I've heard from people that Yoshihiro Togashi said in an interview that they were not, I've also heard that he said in an interview they were. I haven't been able to find any such interview for either then again, I haven't been looking very hard.
